Why The Name?

Kingdom is defined as the spiritual realm over which God reigns.

Luke 17:20-21 “Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”

1 Peter 2:9: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a Holy Nation, a peculiar; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

Priesthood is defined as the Priest being the representative of the sinner in the things of God.

Jesus and the Holy Priesthood:
Jesus Gives The Very First Charge To The Apostles

  • When Jesus came to earth, He restored the gospel in its fullness. He held the keys, with full authority, to heaven and hell. God established the priesthood and Jesus ordained Apostles. The Church was founded by Jesus when He chose the Apostles and bestowed His priesthood and ministry upon them.
  • The development of ecclesiastical structure that we see in the first centuries of the church, is merely making obvious what we already see present in the New Testament.
    • Eccalesiastical Polity is the operational and governance structure of a church of a church or Christian denomination. It also denotes the ministerial structure of a church and authority between churches.
